In partnership with the Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organizations (MANSO), Ethnocultral Council of Manitoba (ECCM), the City of Winnipeg and some Winnipeg Settlement Agencies, Immigration Partnership Winnipeg (IPW) is pleased to invite ALL Families, Newcomers, Community Organizations and Business Communities to come join us in welcoming our newcomers and celebrating the Annual Multicultural Day event.  

DATE: June 26th, 2022

VENUE: Freight House Field, 200 Isabel Street

TIME:  1:00pm-5:00pm


There will be food, entertainment and family-friendly fun and fair activities, as well as Settlement Agencies and organizational information booths.

This joint Newcomer Welcome Fair and Multiculturalism Day Celebration will help create an opportunity for all newcomers, but especially recently arrived Afghan refugees and displaced Ukrainians, to socialize and connect with members of the wider Winnipeg community.

Join us in welcoming our new Director Reuben Garang!

Reuben joined IPW in 2017. Reuben previously worked for the Government of Manitoba as a Policy Analyst and Community Outreach Advisor. He started at IPW as a coordinator and later a Project Manager.
 

Reuben helped establish the Ethnocultural Council of Manitoba (ECCM) which serves as a shared space where diverse ethnic communities come together to provide an empowering platform and collective voice with equal representation for immigrants and refugees working to make Manitoba a welcoming and inclusive province.

 

He is a community campaigner who has worked in different capacities as community organizer and researcher. Reuben holds a bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree in Development Practice (MDP) from the University of Winnipeg.  He is excited to work with the IPW Team as the Director.
